When it comes to wedding venues, the South of France has a lot to offer. Today I want to tell you about the fairytale Irish wedding I got lucky to plan and style at this stunning 16th century Château.

Sarah and Kevin are Irish and live in Dublin. They decided to tie the knot with a destination wedding in the South of France, at the stunning Château de Saint-Martory. Their choice fell upon the magnificent Château de Saint-Martory, a renovated Renaissance castle nestled in the heart of the South of France, at the footstep of the Pyrenees, just an hour away from Toulouse. Being away from France, they decided to enlist my services as a wedding planner to organize this very special day. Château de Saint-Martory will be at your exclusive use for 4 days and 4 nights. There is accommodation for up to 22 people in seven suites located in the castle itself and three bedrooms located in the main farmhouse, just 100 metres away. You will also find an additional renovated room in the Gate House, at the entrance of the castle. Nearby accommodation can be recommended and arranged for your guests as well as shuttle service on the night of your wedding and/or on the night before if you feel like to organising a rehearsal dinner in Saint-Gaudens for example.

Despite the distance from their homeland, the picturesque location offered an enchanting setting to celebrate their love in front of their families and friends, who came in great numbers to witness their union. The warm welcome and beauty of the Southwest of France captivated all the guests, turning this event into a moment of sharing and wonder.

An undeniable advantage of Château de Saint-Martory is its ideal geographical location, providing both the seclusion of a haven of peace and accessibility from major cities. The distance to Toulouse, one of the main cities in the region, is reasonable, allowing guests to easily reach the celebration venue. Additionally, Toulouse-Blagnac Airport facilitates international travel for guests coming from abroad.

As for Biarritz, the famous seaside resort on the Atlantic coast, it's only a 2-hour and 15-minute drive from Château de Saint-Martory. Guests seeking a complete experience in France can take advantage of the proximity to the coast and extend their stay to discover the wonders of the region. Also, getting to Château de Saint-Martory from Carcassonne Airport is only an 1-hour and 30-minute drive.

As a wedding planner, I ensured that every detail was meticulously orchestrated to make this day a unique and unforgettable moment, surrounded by an incredible team of suppliers.
