It was in this idyllic setting, under the pine trees and facing the Bassin of Arcachon, that Emilie and Luke said 'I do'. After getting engaged in Venice, Emilie and Luke got in touch with me to organise their wedding. They have been living in Malta for several years, and coming back to France to get married was an obvious choice, particularly at “Bassin d’Arcachon”. This is where Emilie grew up and has all her childhood memories. Her dream has always been to get married in this enchanting place, to say 'I do' facing the bay of Arcachon, and to enjoy the sunset. Their choice fell on the “Tir au Vol” reception hall, which - you'll see in the photos - offers this exceptional view. I then imagined how to organise their ceremony and their reception, dividing up the spaces so as to take full advantage of the outside. We got very lucky with the weather that day, so Emilie and Luke were able to make the most of their day, surrounded by all their loved ones.

When you're a French expatriate couple living abroad, getting married in France is never easy in terms of organisation. That's why it's essential to get in touch with a local wedding planner who knows the region and its specific characteristics. For being very busy with work, for being far from France with a time difference and for not being able to meet the suppliers directly, Emilie and Luke decided to call on my services.

If you are also living outside of France and are dreaming of a wedding in a beautiful venue in Southwest France, I will give you some tips to make sure you will enjoy the whole planning process without being in France. Please get in touch if you think about having a destination wedding in France, and tell me more about you and your wedding day.
